The concept for this obelisk came about following a request from Samara Clark, near Braidwood NSW. Her garden, designed by Michael Bligh & Associates, included a water feature flanked by a pair of pillar roses. Her brief was to design a free-standing frame sturdy enough to support the vigorous growth of this type of rose,
but subtle enough to maintain the plant as the main feature. With Samara’s input the “Pillar Rose” was created.
Standing approximately two metres tall this obelisk is an attractive yet extremely functional piece of garden art.
We have recently modified the base ring to include four barbed stakes for increased stability once the plant has developed.
The original Pillar Rose was finished with 1mm pressed metal rosettes around the top ring.
Please note: Recently we have changed to a thicker 3mm steel rosette.
